Smart Inventory System
Problem statement:
Inventory consistency is the common concern for the businesses. The product or item might be misplaced accidentally or deliberately being impatient by employees and customers in the store. Inconsistent inventory causes serious problems for normal business operations such as missed target to fulfill orders, productivity loss, customers dissatisfaction.
AI & ML Solution:
High precision cameras need to be installed to scan all aisles and inventory areas of business facility. A typical inventory system has all information about the product, quantity, and its locator in the store/warehouse. The moment when item or product is misplaced, image scanned from that area will be sent over to vision network to find right label of that product (e.g., SKU code). After image classification, feedback will be given to inventory system to update product locators for one or more items. This solution enables businesses to keep inventory system accurate and thereby allows automatic reconciliation.
