Our teacher suggested it because of the hassle it is to take inventory of the computers in the lab every year.
The app takes advantage of a tablet's bar code scanner app to scan in serial numbers and allows other data input. The data is saved in a Google spreadsheet.
Our biggest challenge was figuring out how to connect the app to a Google spreadsheet.

What I learned
What's next for iNventory: the app will continue to be tweaked since it will be used by technology teachers in our school. A feature to make transfers is being planned.
