InventixAI: The Autonomous Retail Inventory Brain

Inspiration (What inspired us) Traditional POS (Point of Sale) and inventory management tools are fundamentally flawed—they are purely reactive. They only log data after a product goes out of stock or a customer walks away empty-handed. We wanted to build something smarter. The inspiration behind InventixAI was to shift retail management from passive record-keeping to proactive, AI-driven foresight that stops stockouts and prevents capital from getting trapped in dead inventory.

How we built it: InventixAI is engineered as a lightweight, production-ready, and autonomous SaaS architecture:The Intelligence & Database Layer: We integrated the Evorozen Neural OS API to act as a high-speed virtual database, skipping heavy traditional backend setups.Automation Engine: Powered by self-hosted n8n workflows running on cloud infrastructure, handling real-time webhooks, mathematical stock deductions, and dynamic routing.Frontend Interface: A clean, modern, and lightning-fast user dashboard deployed live at inventixai.site.je.

Challenges we faced: Building a production-ready autonomous system came with its hurdles:API Reliability & Server Crashes: Encountered unexpected backend 500 errors during heavy testing, which pushed us to design robust fallback structures and self-contained error handling within our workflows.Credential Security: Managing hardcoded API keys in automated workflow exports posed a major security risk. We resolved this by refactoring our n8n workflows to utilize secure environment variables ($env) before deployment.Data Sync Precision: Fixing math calculation errors during high-frequency sales logging required shifting from a single-node write to a precise two-node architecture (select_data $\rightarrow$ update_data).

What we learned: Building InventixAI was an incredible learning curve. We mastered self-hosted n8n automation orchestration, managing cloud virtual machines, securing webhook pipelines, and integrating third-party AI APIs with dynamic data processing. Most importantly, we learned how to turn a basic retail app into an intelligent, proactive SaaS product.
