Inspiration
Our inspiration was to create an online community of people interested in learning about the Alien invasion crisis on Earth. As individuals with a passion to help others, we decided to build this information-sharing platform.
What it does
It provides up date to information on the crisis, and enables effective communication between civilians and NASA. It also guides civilians on what to do during an invasion.
How we built it
We built it using flask-socketio. flask made up the web-app while socketio allowed communication between users and the website admins.
Challenges we ran into
Socketio was difficult to properly setup. Using VSCode Live share was challenging to collaborate on when running a flask app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we built a website with extensive features including a live chat and countdown timer. We're also proud of the intricate information we included into our website.
What we learned
We learnt how to work effectively in a team, and how to communicate, coordinate and collaborate.
