Introduction to Worldwide Interest Rates and Taxes

Inspiration

We as a collective, had a shared experience of lacking financial education throughout our high school curriculum.

What it does

It is a simple webpage designed to serve as a resource for high school students, providing an introduction to interest rates and taxes.

How we built it

We used a combination of Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the project. We included methods to make the curriculum in the program easily updatable and expandable.

Challenges we ran into

We all had little experience making a website that uses Python, and we also all lacked experience in JavaScript.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Through hours of hardship, blood, sweat, tears, and food, we learned how to create a functional website that uses Python, as well as a better understanding of JavaScript.

What we learned

We gained a better understanding of JavaScript, teamwork, and how Python is not good for websites.

What's next for Introduction to Worldwide Interest Rates and Taxes

We allow for people to have administrative power over the program to expand on its curriculum and contents to create a better state of learning for this type of content within high school.
