What's next for Intro to Repository Management on Github

The goal is to prepare the Mergington High School extracurricular activities website repository so that multiple teachers and developers can work together safely and respectfully. The project teaches you how to manage a GitHub repository, protect its code, and establish rules for collaboration. What your project does

  1. Establishes a Code of Conduct: Defines how contributors should treat one another, communicate respectfully, and report inappropriate behavior.
  2. Protects the code: Uses repository rules and branch protections to help prevent unauthorized or unreviewed changes.
  3. Organizes collaboration: Explains how contributors submit pull requests and how changes are reviewed before being merged.
  4. Assigns responsibilities: Uses a CODEOWNERS file to identify who is responsible for reviewing changes to specific files.
  5. Improves security: Helps maintain the repository through security updates and appropriate access permissions.
