Inspiration

“Threshold of the Mirror” was inspired by the idea of transformation — crossing from who you were into who you are becoming.

What It Means

The mirror represents the self — not reflection, but revelation. The song captures the instant before change, when you recognize both your past and your potential at once. It’s a meditation on identity, surrender, and becoming.

How It Was Created

The lyrics and concept were written by me with creative collaboration through ChatGPT.
I composed and produced the song in Suno, building a dark psychedelic atmosphere of hand percussion, acoustic guitar, and Eastern-scale strings.
Each visual frame was generated in Midjourney, based on the song’s verses, choruses, and instrumental motifs.
I then used LTX Studio to create seamless, dreamlike transitions between paired Midjourney images — allowing static art to evolve fluidly in time with the music.
Finally, I manually assembled, paced, and refined all sequences in Magix Movie Studio 2025 Suite, matching each visual shift to the rhythm and lyrical flow.

Challenges & What I Learned

The challenge was creating each set of looping animations of each static image, to then create the transition animation from one scene to the 2nd scene to get the AI-generated transitions — ensuring each evolution between frames felt like an intentional part of the narrative. I learned how to use AI animation as a storytelling device rather than just an effect.
