"Into the Cryptoverse" is a web-based game designed to educate players about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in a fun and interactive way. This PRD outlines the game's functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and UI/UX design considerations.

The aim of the product is to create a game that engages and educates people on the core basics of cryptocurrency, blockchain and everything related to the web3 ecosystem

Our Inspiration for Building this Game

Many young people find it difficult to venture into web3 due to the difficulty in understanding web3 terms and core concepts in the cryptospace. We noticed our friends coming to us now and again to explain and understand core concepts.

the youth unemployment rate in Nigeria stands at 13.44% and 23.5% [https://www.ilo.org/regions-and-countries/ilo-africa/areas-work/youth-employment-africa] under employed and unemployed youths in sub-saharan afica, 9 counteries with the lowest unemployment rate are in sub-Saharan Africa. Our heart breaks at this reality, we believe web3 has the potential of granting people jobs and opportunities when they are properly educated.

We want to make it easier to onboard the next million Africans in the Web3 space, not just as contributors but as builders. The demand for Blockchain developers, designers, marketers and builders is increasing and our game enables anyone to learn about Cryptocurrency in a fun and interactive way. we have a core focus on protocols connect to the web2 space such as Chainlink Protocol

Game Overview & Design

Players choose from 5 unique characters with individual strengths and weaknesses and then they can go through the process of answering questions based on their level of knowledge in the crypto space. The game contains 3 zones - the green zone, the red zone and the danger zone

How Does Into The Cryptoverse Work? Players are thrown into the cryptoverse, where they have to choose between 5 key agents - the Investor, the Degen, The Trader, Satoshi and the Whale. As characters fighting to get to the 100th block, the must answer questions on blockchain, cryptocurrecny and chainlink to move on to the next stage of the game. They are faced with trap blocks and scenario questions that forces them to think like this characters and improve their game play.

Rules of the Game

Dice rolls determine movement. Players answer questions correctly to receive tokens Tokens are deducted from a player every time they miss Every Player starts with an equal amount of token Characters can utilise unique abilities based on their traits. Lifelines that can be used to get saved from an Action or Trap Block. Scoreboards will track player progress and achievements. Leaderboards show the top winners to have ever played the game in total.

With a growing community of 200 people and 50 early testers, our game is ready to be played by eager people willing to learn about crypto and web3
