Inspiration

ClearInterview was inspired by the anxiety and lack of feedback job seekers often face during interviews. We wanted to build a tool that feels like a real interview, gives instant insights, and helps users improve in a focused way, all powered by AI.

What it does

The app simulates live job interviews. Users can speak or type answers, and after each session, the app gives feedback on confidence, filler words, posture, and clarity. A PDF report is generated at the end.

How we built it

We used Bolt.new to build the UI quickly, integrated OpenAI for dynamic questions and feedback. Supabase handles authentication and storage. The app is deployed on Netlify with GitHub integration.

Challenges

we ran into Getting smooth voice interactions was tricky, and generating well-structured feedback took prompt tuning. Integrating Supabase OAuth and formatting clean PDF reports were also time-consuming.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a full-stack AI app with real-time voice, feedback, login, and reporting, all during a short hackathon. It’s clean, minimal, and actually helpful for users. We’re proud of the functional PDF report and multi-API orchestration.

What we learned

We learned how to connect multiple AI tools in one workflow. Bolt.new made fast prototyping possible. We also deepened our skills in prompt design, voice AI, Supabase, and deployment. Building with low-code taught us to focus on UX.

What's next for ClearInterview

Next, we’ll add role-specific interview paths, track progress across sessions, and improve the PDF design. We also plan to support mobile and add emotion/tone analysis for deeper feedback.
