Inspiration

Technical interviews can be stressful, and most students do not have access to personalized interview practice or immediate feedback. We wanted to build an AI-powered interview agent that could simulate a realistic interview experience and help candidates improve through repeated practice.

What we built

InterviewAI is an AI-powered mock interview agent that conducts personalized interviews using voice interaction. It generates interview questions, interacts with candidates in real time, evaluates their responses, and provides actionable feedback.

The goal is to make interview preparation more accessible, interactive, and personalized.

How it works

1. The candidate starts a mock interview.
2. The AI agent generates questions based on the interview context.
3. The candidate responds through voice interaction.
4. The system evaluates the response in real time.
5. The agent provides feedback to help the candidate identify areas for improvement.

What we learned

Building InterviewAI helped us explore how AI can be used for interactive learning and career preparation. We learned about designing conversational AI experiences, connecting AI capabilities with a web application, and creating a real-time feedback workflow.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was creating a smooth interaction between the user, voice interface, AI-generated questions, and response evaluation while keeping the experience simple and responsive.
