What it does
How we built itDuring our placement preparation journey, we observed a common and frustrating pattern among students. Many of our peers had strong technical knowledge and could solve complex problems, yet they were repeatedly struggling in interviews. After speaking with classmates and seniors, we realized that the issue was rarely about lack of knowledge. Instead, most students were losing opportunities because of communication gaps—hesitation while speaking, excessive filler words, lack of structured answers, and low confidence during delivery.
When we explored existing mock interview tools, we noticed that most platforms focused only on checking the correctness of answers or matching keywords in responses. Very few systems actually evaluated how a candidate speaks, and almost none provided explainable behavioral feedback that students could act upon. This gap was especially visible in the context of Indian campus placements, where many students are first-time interviewees and need guided, repeatable practice in a safe environment.
This observation became the core motivation behind InterviewTwin. We wanted to build a system that does not just judge answers but truly mirrors the behavioral expectations of real interviewers. Our goal was to create an intelligent, accessible, and explainable AI platform that helps students understand their communication patterns, track their improvement over time, and systematically build interview confidence.
InterviewTwin was therefore designed as a multimodal behavioral interview intelligence platform that analyzes speech delivery, detects filler usage, evaluates answer structure using the STAR method, and provides personalized, data-driven feedback. By combining technical rigor with student-centered design, the project aims to democratize high-quality interview coaching and make placement readiness more measurable, transparent, and achievable for every learner.
Ultimately, InterviewTwin is inspired by a simple but powerful belief: many capable students do not fail interviews because they lack knowledge , they fail because they lack guided communication feedback. Our mission is to close that gap using AI.
