The problem

Returning to an unfinished project often means reconstructing its goal, last decision and changed files before useful work can restart. Interrupted Work Resumer keeps that evidence together without pretending the saved task is complete.

The product

Choose a project and explicit text files, save the goal, next action, decisions and blockers, then compare the checkpoint with current files. Changed and deleted files appear in a downloadable continuation. An optional local watcher prepares another continuation when the selected files change, including after a server restart. It runs only while the local server runs and never executes the saved action or marks a blocker resolved.

Sponsor technology and build

Node.js handles guarded file access, immutable checkpoints and comparison. NVIDIA Nemotron Lightning (nvidia/Nemotron-3_5-Lightning) on Nebius Token Factory produced a live cited analysis from explicitly selected excerpts and saved context. Suggestions are reviewed separately from the file evidence.

A real Tavily search retrieved documentation for an explicitly entered investigation query. Selected sources then fed a separate Nemotron checklist. Private project files and saved blockers are not automatically sent to web search. Deepgram Aura-2 Thalia generated the narration; technical audio checks passed, with listening review and final video still pending.

What is verified

A live model analysis succeeded and retained unvalidated blockers and unexecuted actions. The actual local watcher generated a continuation after restart and was subsequently disabled. The standalone full suite passed 83 tests; later focused checks passed 17 research units, two API/browser checks and 20 core/watch checks. Counts overlap, and these local fixture tests are distinct from live provider receipts.

Research quotation filtering improved the selected passages, but the latest model checklist still adds unsupported automatic-scroll and overlay details. Original records remain unchanged; a separate assistant review narrows the proposed comparisons. No complete accessibility audit or semantic-quality pass is claimed. This is a local assistant, not a deployed always-on service.

Run and current access

Repository. As checked on 22 October 2026, this repository is private and its remote revision predates the validated local release. Publication and judge access remain pending; the repository link is not yet a public reproduction path.

The commands below apply to the prepared standalone release after access to that revision is available. Node.js 22+ is required. Live sponsor actions need private environment configuration and explicitly reviewed provider access; local examples work without provider keys.

Open http://127.0.0.1:4190/resumer. Set DESK_WORKSPACE before starting to select the permitted project directory. For fixture tests, install Chromium with npx playwright install chromium, then run npm test without provider credentials. A public judge-access path is still pending.

AI tools and development

Codex assisted with implementation, interface refinement, test authoring, debugging and independent review. NVIDIA Nemotron performed the bounded runtime tasks described above; Tavily supplied search results, and Deepgram generated narration. AI output was checked against saved state, validation rules and actual execution evidence. This description does not claim that another assistant's separate hackathon projects are part of this entry.
