People who undergo implantation of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) often experience significant emotional and physical stress after the procedure.
An ICD is a surgically implanted device used in patients with arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats. It monitors the heart’s rhythm and delivers an electric shock when needed to correct dangerous abnormalities.
In that sense, it is similar to a miniature automated external defibrillator (AED) that is permanently implanted in the body. By examining research, we made a Telemetry Wand as a Fusion File, which scans the ICD already in the heart and transfers the data into a convenient user interface on your phone.
This is where we introduce Venus, our AI-powered assistant who can patient questions and truly make sure that they understand what was implanted in their body, how it keeps their heart healthy, and how they can maintain their new InterPace Device.
