Intero visualizes hidden early stress signals from your body and behavior to help you see cognitive overload before burnout. Intero - you wont notice you're burning out until you already are.
We were inspired by the themes of homeostasis and interoception in terms of regulating internal signals. We wanted to build something that gives the users a way to understand what their body is trying to say, and by also sharing these insights with friends, family, and other users who feel the same way.
What it does
Intero is a web app platform that works by making interoception, the body's internal sense of its own physiological state, visible before it becomes overwhelming. It connects passive behavioral signals to real-time internal state awareness without requiring hardware. Users receive interpreted insight and can prioritize changing their environments based on the suggestions of Intero.
How we built it
Over the course of four days, our ideation and prototyping were created in FigJam, where we mapped competitive analysis, research, and rough concepts while Figma Make built our final interactive project.
Challenges we ran into
A big challenge we ran into was prioritizing which features would contribute to the overall user core experience. We had to also find ways to make Intero stand out from already existing platforms and show a concept to users that should feel intuitive.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of completing this project that really connects with the user and validates a real gap seen in existing platforms that already exist. Through this project, we aligned closely with the themes of interoception and homeostasis, where every decision within our project reflects our main idea of giving the users a clear view of their internal patterns.
What we learned
We learned how to successfully document, conduct user research and surveys, create Figma prototypes using Figma Make, conclude user testing, and brainstorm our ideas for this project.
