Inspiration
The medical sector is overwhelmed with the number of care needed while doctors availability is declining worldwide. In a world where technology is available instantly and everywhere the medical healthcare still isn't. We want to fill the gap between tech possibilities and declining state of medical sector.
What it does
It assess medical conditions following best practices of medical interview trough an AI agent, compares the symptoms with our dataset for avoiding allucination and provides fast help and schedule appointments for the customer on the fly.
How we built it
We used Elevenlabs Agents API in combination with our own Flask server solution that allows the agent to use tools for checking symptoms, matching them and calculating probable disease, schedule appointments and generate summaries for streamlining doctor operations.
Challenges we ran into
Dataset alghorytms to calculate accurately which disease might the user be experiencing
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It sounds like a real doctor, it's pretty cool and dives deeper into you personal experience. I'd like to use something like this as it feels helpful.
What we learned
That everything is possible! And that small teams can do a lot and very fast
What's next for InternistAI
I will present to a few possible interested businesses and gather feedback. It's a cool hackaton project but I am unsure for the legal basis on the medical field, this said similar process could be applied to many other sectors.
