Our idea is the incorporation of the internet of things into a fish tank. Some of the sensors and outputs include a pH sensor for water quality, a temperature sensor, a camera, a Bluetooth or wifi module, a microphone/speaker, a servo, and LEDs. Using software, the tank will be able to automatically control the tank's water quality as it can manage pH via the use of tablets dispensed by a servo and by adjusting the temperature control to account for changes such as a family leaving for vacation. The tank will also give users more functionality such as a camera to check in on fish to ensure that they are ok, a remote-controlled led strip that can be turned off at bedtime, and an audio set up that would allow parents to talk to/ hear their children if need be. Additionally, the tank could be used to automatically dispense feed for a fish using a servo also, alleviating the need for messy week long filters that dirty the tank and jeopardize fish.
