Inspiration

Based on a calculations that I used to perform for clients when I was a portfolio manager

What it does

App will calculate how long your retirement assets will last based on a variety of starting data including age, desired retirement age, starting assets, etc.

How we built it

App was built in Vue with basic bootstrap css.

Challenges we ran into

Getting calculations to run properly took more debugging than I expected.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

mastered use of bootstrap grid system to get data entry form and caveats section to appear side by side.

What's next for Internet Hippo's Retirement Calculator

Could add additional variables for greater customization - asset allocations, tax rate, return assumptions. Those are all built in currently.
