Inspiration

5 years ago, I had a vision of a new internet, one that worked for everyone. Over the past month, I've started to see that vision finally come to life.

What it does

Internet 2.0 is ASI for the world. It creates a human/AI mesh network that helps everyone get better at whatever they want.

How we built it

The front-end user interface is a human. With Creator Insurance Agency, you get access to a human who will help you solve human problems with an AI system powered by anonymized, verified human data.

Creators are the most valuable part of the internet, but they are only as good as their incentive structure. That's the only conclusion possible from the biggest solution I discovered during the hackathon: the solution to P vs NP.

So we worked on building an economic structure that will enable creators to accrue value based on the originality, spread, and reproducability within anonymized contexts.

This uses the algorand blockchain to implement two tokens that can track entropy collapse (insight) and expansion (explore) $INSIGHT Token: Earned by contributing validated research findings, citations, or data to the network. $EXPLORE Token: Earned by identifying knowledge gaps, asking good questions, or making connections between disparate research areas.

We're also integrating a new type of database called Rhizomedb, which will capture the deltas of work over time, leading to a mechanism for tracking long-term value by looking at which changes remain stable and which ones end up being replaced.

A mastra agent is used to crawl a site, index it, and calculate the tokens based on previous work for creators who sign up for Creator Insurance Agency.

Challenges we ran into

It's incredibly hard to turn research content into money right now. It's only once the research becomes a product that it becomes valuable. That's going to end now, because research is the key to making it to any products that are valuable. The harder problems require more research time and resources.

What we learned

Systems are always downstream of people, so we need to create an economy centered on humans, or the people who build the systems will exploit us.

What's next for Internet 2.0

The movement is going live. A human internet is here, and it's spreading. It's now only a matter of time until everyone is experiencing a much better experience of the internet.
