Inspiration
In the show Salvation, there's this tech billionaire who uses RFID-based indoor location monitoring as a security tag to gain access to secure areas and have smart systems respond to his presence.
I wanted to create something similar.
What it does
My app uses the unique Bluetooth ID of my smartwatch to track my location throughout my house using Bluetooth Low Energy Signals. This can be used for personal smart home systems or to track the indoor location for people like seniors and children to know where they are at all times and prevent them from wandering off.
How we built it
The dashboard is built using NodeJS.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The app can accurately tell what room someone is in at all times.
What we learned
I'd never used any of the technologies used in the project so it was great to learn them.
