🔮 Inspiration The idea behind Interiors & Light House came from the need to create a more immersive and intuitive online shopping experience for interior decor and lighting. Traditional eCommerce platforms feel static and impersonal — we wanted to replicate the warmth, personalization, and interactivity of visiting a real showroom, guided by a knowledgeable store owner, all within a 3D digital space.
We’re inspired by the visual impact of physical displays and the value of human-like interaction in guiding customer choices — hence, a 3D avatar walkthrough.
🛠️ What It Does The website:
Greets users with a 3D storefront animation and an avatar assistant
Offers a choice between two key verticals: Interiors (Wallpapers, Floorings, Artificial Garden) and Fancy Lights (Wall, Hanging, Chandeliers, Lamps, Gate Lights)
Displays interactive product carousels under each category
Shows an avatar-driven explanation of each product, with room previews (e.g. how a chandelier would look in a living room vs. balcony)
Features multilingual customer reviews in Hindi, Marathi, and English
Includes contact options: WhatsApp, Google Maps, Instagram, and an optional contact form
🧱 How We Built It Platform: Built using Webflow and Netlify for no-code deployment
3D Assets: Created using Spline and Ready Player Me; embedded using iframe or WebGL
Avatar Interaction: Generated avatar videos using HeyGen/D-ID, hosted and embedded in product pages
Product CMS: Managed via Webflow CMS to enable easy updates
Localization: Plan to use Weglot or manual toggle for Hindi/Marathi/English reviews
Design: Mobile-first layout with clean navigation and immersive UI
🚧 Challenges We Ran Into Avatar-only head modeling: Limited free tools that support head-only .glb export from photos
Performance trade-offs with 3D assets: High-fidelity avatars can slow down page loads
Multilingual review UX: Creating a seamless switch between languages without disrupting flow
No-code limitations: Embedding dynamic 3D or AI-driven content in Webflow has some restrictions
