Inspiration

The inspiration for interdex.ai is our burning passion to help innovative for the employers who are looking to hire candidates. We know that it is difficult to screen dozens of candidates without help from a team, so we decided to give a helping hand. We tailor the interview for YOUR needs based on what you look for (technicality, traits).

What is Interdex.ai?

Interdex.ai is a custom interview agent made on the basis of Google Gemini for employers to screen potential candidates to their company. We create tailored sessions for YOU to test specific questions and soft skills to your candidates.

How we built it

Interdex.ai is built on the frameworks of ReactJS and Flask. We utilizes services such as Google Text to Speech, Gemini API, and Firebase to help process and store our data across sessions.

Challenges we ran into

We've run into a multitude of challenges brainstorming a relevant architectural design for our application, debugging our project on AI errors and upload failure statuses. We also faced troubles connecting the front-end to the back-end, particularly in error handling our API calls.

How does this work?

We first ask the employers what specific questions and traits that they look for. Then, we ask these questions to the candidate through an AI agent. This AI agent gives a rating back to the employer based on the tonality, flow, professionalism, quality of answers, and accuracy on questions with a direct answer.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're incredibly proud of our workflow of the application to send, receive, and process voice data through AI LLM evaluation. We also had only Saturday to work on the project, as our team arrived a day late. We are proud of pushing through and finishing such an ambitious project in a day.

What we learned

We not only learned the power of collaboration, but also the essence of AI LLM evaluation/parsing to communicate between the front and back end. We learned how to make a cohesive full stack application based on AI LLMs.

What's next for Interdex.ai

We are looking to extend this interview process to account creation for both employers and candidates as well. If time permitted, we would've also created different types of questions, such as factual-based questions and tonality-based questions. We also would create an employer dashboard.

Interdex.ai is an AI agent that interviews candidates at a precise scale rather than a broad scale. We tailor the agent to look for specific traits, answers, speech professionalism, and level of fun in candidates’ personalities. In the end, we provide a numerical rating and the relevant evidence background for the candidate.
