What it does

InterCollab aims to bridge this gap by providing seamless handwriting recognition, real-time translation, and intelligent visualization of complex diagrams using Ryzen AI Software. Our tool enhances team collaboration by making brainstorming, whiteboarding, and technical discussions more accessible across language and writing styles.

How we built it

We developed InterCollab using a modular approach:

  • Frontend: React-based interactive whiteboard for intuitive user interaction.
  • Backend: Python-based processing engine with AI-powered handwriting recognition and language translation.
  • Machine Learning: Ryzen AI-powered inference for handwriting-to-text conversion and contextual translation.
  • Docker: Containerized environment to ensure smooth deployment across various platforms.

Challenges we ran into

  • Handwriting Variability: Recognizing diverse handwriting styles required tuning our AI models beyond standard datasets.
  • Real-time Performance: Optimizing translation and rendering speed while balancing tradeoffs with model accuracy.

What's next for InterConnect

  • Improved AI Models: Fine-tuning handwriting recognition for even greater accuracy. And even further support for other languages. (Currently Spanish/Hindi)
  • Expanded Language Support: Supporting more languages with enhanced translation accuracy.
  • Cloud & Mobile Integration: Deploying a web and mobile-friendly version.
  • Collaboration Features: Adding real-time user annotations, voice integration, and team-based workflows.
