Inspiration

We noticed that Tiktok e-shop lacks the distinctive features that could harness its full social interaction potential. Unlike successful e-commerce platforms like Taobao and Steam, where users often enjoy browsing these platforms for interesting comments without buying anything, Tiktok's e-shop lacks an active community. We believe integrating similar features on Tiktok could be a game-changer.

Problem Statement

The Tiktok online shop needs to be more unique and socially interactive.

Features

  1. While browsering shop page, users can see whether the products are recommanded by their followed content maker or their friends

  2. In the product page, users can see the videos about this product or other related products. The videos from their followed content makers and friends have priority.

What's next for Interactive e-Shop demo

Unfortunately, we are all first year University students and this is our first web-app, so we don't have enough time to carefully design the UI and optimize our project for producton. Later we might rebuild our project using Modern.js and Hertz to experience the whole process of software development, as well as add more features and learn to deploy it into real production.
