Inspiration
Buying software still looks like a form, a sales call, and a PDF. Agents change that. They can open a site, ask for a quote, and negotiate. They can also overshare: identity, vendor history, exact willingness to pay.
I wanted a website that could complete a commercial handshake with an agent without turning the agent into a leaky CRM. WebMCP made that possible. The page registers a small tool contract. The agent calls those tools. The buyer decides what is disclosed. The human still has to say yes before anything consequential happens.
What it does
IntentRank is a consent-first procurement demo. A buyer’s agent does not scrape a page or dump a profile. It talks to the website through a narrow tool contract, shares only approved constraints, and can close a better deal only after the human says yes
IntentRank is a consent-first procurement demo. A buyer’s agent does not scrape a page or dump a profile. It talks to the website through a narrow tool contract, shares only approved constraints, and can close a better deal only after the human says yes.
The live path is:
Discover the site’s active buying contract. No buyer data is sent. List public packages. The page price is $ 20 / month $20/month. Match only approved fields: category, team size, budget band, commitment. Vendor history stays private. The demo returns a 94 % 94% match and an initial private offer of $ 14 / month $14/month with + 20 % +20% credits. Request a quote. No order is placed. Negotiate. If the constraints qualify — 24 months, annual prepay, 40–80 engineers, Accept only after explicit confirmation. The call needs userConfirmed: true and a one-time token bound to the displayed offer. Each step writes a disclosure receipt: contract, request ID, disclosed fields, withheld fields, score, and next actions. The dashboard and admin views show the same event the agent just caused.
The savings versus the public page price are:
How we built it
React, mcp-b, JS and deployed on cloudflare worker
Challenges we ran into
Really difficult to test. Browser doesn't support it by default. Not all codex models can actually interact with webmcp, and i could only call webmcp from ChatGPT work but not a normal chat, as it requires in app browser
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is my 3rd MCP, and first ever WebMCP
Built With
