Inspiration
Arizona was a hundred degrees in February. The first room we sat in during the hackaton was extremely warm, where other areas of the building were cooler.
What it does
Allows the control of vents to evenly distribute or specifically cool certain parts of the house/building
How we built it
We build the program with C#. We connected sensors and devices to the program, which will then control these devices. As of now, we would have to buy premade vents. In the future we plan to build our own vents.
Challenges we ran into
How we could connect the vents to the thermostat. How can we implement our technology into older homes which have older systems.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our idea can solve a big problem, with low cost, low barrier to entry which can turn into huge savings for our customers.
What we learned
We learned how to connect sensors to programs, to implement ideas into functional designs
What's next for IntelliVents
We plan to work on improving our model. There is just so much things we can do with this system!
