Inspiration

Working on a startup made us realize the significance of meticulous project management. We observed that individuals entering the startup world often lacked the expertise of certified project managers. This inspired us to create Intelliplan, an app empowering users with limited experience to excel in project management. With Intelliplan, users bridge the knowledge gap, achieving the same level of precision and organization as seasoned professionals. Our app equips them with the necessary tools and guidance to effectively plan, allocate tasks, track progress, and succeed in their projects, fostering confidence and efficiency in the startup landscape.

What it does

Intelliplan is an innovative project management assistant app designed to simplify the lives of project managers who struggle with organization and attention to detail. It guides users through the project management process, improving task delegation and facilitating efficient progress tracking. Project managers describe their projects, and Intelliplan asks clarifying questions to gain a deep understanding. Based on this understanding, it develops a comprehensive and executable plan that can be divided among the team. By leveraging team members' uploaded resumes, Intelliplan determines the best-fit assignments for each task, optimizing project execution.

How we built it

Our app is built on the concept of prompt engineering, focusing on high-quality prompts to assist project managers effectively. To develop the application, we utilized bubble.io, a no-code platform that enabled us to create a fully functioning app with minimal coding. We also integrated GPT-4 API to enhance the app's capabilities.

Challenges we ran into

Uploading resumes to our application presented challenges due to parsing issues. We worked diligently to ensure smooth resume uploads, resolving errors caused by hidden characters that interfered with JSON formatting. Additionally, accurately detecting inter-team dynamics and developing an optimal plan posed a challenge that required thoughtful consideration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We sent our minimum viable product (MVP) to a project manager who used it in their work. Their feedback affirmed that our application produced results on par with their own task management software, validating our achievement and the effectiveness of Intelliplan.

What we learned

Through this project, we gained valuable insights into building a fully functional app with minimal code. We also honed our skills in integrating APIs like GPT-4, expanding our knowledge in AI-powered project management tools.

What's next for IntelliPlan

Moving forward, our focus lies in further developing the user interface for team members, addressing any bugs or issues that arise, and iteratively improving the app. We aim to gather feedback from additional project managers to refine Intelliplan into a robust and user-friendly tool for project management across various industries. The incorporation of a voice-typing feature will enhance data input, enabling more accurate and data collection for our generated proposal.
