Inspiration

"Have you ever lost or felt insecure while using your digital wallet and felt the need of a secure platform and assistance which can provide you with recommendations and perform actions on your behalf?" Our team "Watson Blue" made a solution named "Intelligent Wallet System" that is secure, smart and scalable.

What it does

"Intelligent Wallet System" provides the customer an opportunity to feel secure and get assisted during the time of need. Our platform security is maintained by SMTP verification and Auth0 authentication. Sign Up, Sign In and change Password requests are supported by email confirmation, and each request is secured by Auth0. Features like Account Authentication, Account Creation, and Balance Inquiry are not only accessible manually but through our intelligent system - Alex as well. Alex not only can not only provide personalized recommendations but also perform actions on your behalf as well.

How we built it

Frontend

We built our frontend entirely on React while maintaining responsiveness and accessibility on different mobile devices. The front is deployed on Heroku and CI/CD pipeline has been established to provide faster integration and development.

Backend

We built our backend on Node Js. During the development, we kept the microservice architecture perspective in mind to provide scalability. Currently, our two microservice Masterdata and Account are deployed on Google Cloud Run, accessed through Google Cloud Gateway, and are secured by Auth0.

Intelligent Assitant - Alex

We used IBM Watson and IBM Cloud Function to provide personalized recommendations and actions of our for our assistant. Developer APIs provide JS bank were code on IBM Cloud Functions for actions and personalized banking intent were for IBM Watson recommendations.

Challenges we ran into

There was only one challenge that we came across during the development of your system. The challenge was that JS Bank APIs lack documentation and there were occasional issues with their accessibility.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to develop commendable MVP in a short period of time due to teamwork and remote collaboration. Our team was aligned and hours were spent during the development. Our accomplishment is that we would be able to provide a preferred insight that would make Digital Banking easier in Pakistan.

What's next for Intelligent Wallet System

A number of features and enhancements are planned for Intelligent Wallet System. These are the following

  • Enhancing the personalization of Alex to provide better recommendations and actions
  • Adding further features to the dashboard for better functionality
  • Add email-based OTP functionality for improved security.
