Inspiration

The inspiration for the Smart Ambulance Routing System came from a simple yet profound realization: in emergency situations, every second counts. We noticed that ambulances often get stuck in traffic, which can be detrimental in life-threatening scenarios. This sparked our interest in using technology to make a real difference in emergency response times, ultimately saving lives.

What it does

The Smart Ambulance Routing System revolutionizes emergency response by providing ambulances with the fastest possible route to their destination, utilizing Google's Geocoding and INRIX's routing APIs. It intelligently reroutes traffic in real-time, clearing the path for ambulances and significantly reducing travel time during critical situations. This system not only enhances the efficiency of emergency services but also contributes to overall traffic management in urban areas, making it an innovative solution with a substantial impact on public safety.

How we built it

Initial Concept: We started with brainstorming sessions to define the scope and functionality of the system. Technology Stack: Our choice of technologies included HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend, with Flask serving as the backend framework. API Integration: We utilized Google's Geocoding API for accurate location data and INRIX's APIs for route determination and traffic management.
