Inspiration
Ignoring persistent symptoms, emotions, and feelings is an all-too-common phenomenon in our increasingly busy lives. Often times, we do not acknowledge these feelings until they are a problem. This project is designed to keep track of these things, and alerts users when potentially significant patterns are observed; doing so can serve as a preventative measure and help lessen the load on healthcare providers.
What it does
Our intelligent assistant, Wesley, inquires daily about a person's feelings (emotions or symptoms) and logs the response. Patterns in this information are recognized and reported to the user. Wesley will sympathize with the user and offer a way to address the pattern.
How we built it
We built this project with Python.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into technical difficulties with our wifi that made it difficult to stay in touch. This delayed our progress at some points during the hackathon.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how well we were able to communicate and overcome our obstacles. Python is not a language that we are particularly familiar with so it is rewarding to finish such a challenging project.
What we learned
We learned how to be creative and apply some programming skills learned in computer science classes.
What's next for Intelligent Assistant for General Wellness
Wesley can be expanded to include graphs for the logs and even a cycle tracker.
