Inspiration

The growing need for accessible and automated data analysis inspired us. Many users struggle with complex data tools or lack the expertise to extract meaningful insights. Our goal was to create a platform that democratizes data analysis, making it as simple as uploading a file and receiving actionable reports, powered by intelligent AI agents.

What it does

IntelliFlow is a multi-agent data analysis platform that automates the entire process from data upload to insight generation. Users upload any data file, and the system intelligently processes it, performs advanced statistical analysis, generates comprehensive insights, and provides actionable reports without manual configuration. It acts as a personal data analyst, delivering clear and concise information.

How we built it

IntelliFlow was built using a Python Flask backend for the API and a React frontend for the user interface. The core intelligence is powered by Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK), which allowed us to develop specialized AI agents (Data Scout, Advanced Statistical Analysis, Insight Generator) that collaborate under an Orchestrator Agent. We used Git/GitHub for version control and Vercel for frontend deployment.

Challenges we ran into

Key challenges included orchestrating seamless communication and data flow between multiple asynchronous AI agents, ensuring robust error handling across the entire pipeline, and integrating the file upload mechanism with the backend processing. Adapting the ADK's message passing for our specific data analysis workflow and handling Flask's synchronous nature with asynchronous agent calls also presented hurdles.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are most proud of successfully creating a fully automated, end-to-end data analysis workflow. The system's ability to intelligently process diverse data and generate actionable insights without user intervention is a significant achievement. We're also proud of the modular agent-based architecture, which makes the system highly extensible and maintainable.

What we learned

We learned the immense power and flexibility of agent-based architectures for complex problem-solving. The importance of robust orchestration in multi-agent systems became clear. We also gained valuable insights into integrating asynchronous Python processes within a web framework and effectively handling file uploads and data serialization between frontend and backend.

What's next for IntelliFlow

For IntelliFlow, we plan to enhance its capabilities by integrating more advanced AI models for predictive analytics and natural language processing. We aim to develop dynamic visualization generation, allowing users to interact with their insights visually. Further integrations with cloud data sources (e.g., Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery) and real-time data streaming are also on the roadmap.
