Inspiration: Our journey began with a shared longing to deepen our connection with nature in our increasingly tech-driven world. Despite our best intentions, the demands of modern life often leave us little time to tend to our plants and nurture the environment. So, we decided to tap into our human ingenuity to find a solution that would bring us closer to the green world around us.

Like curious explorers, we delved into the challenges faced by plant lovers and farmers alike, realizing the urgent need for smarter ways to care for our leafy companions. Through this project, we're not just building a bridge between humans and nature; we're nurturing a relationship that's as old as time itself—a bond that enriches our lives and sustains our planet in equal measure.

ABSTRACT COVERING ALL POINTS:

A major crisis that needs to be addressed is that numerous plant enthusiasts, farmers, botanists struggle to ensure optimal plant growth due to a lack of knowledge, time constraints, and limited access to personalised care solutions. This results in plant death, reduced yields, and frustration, contributing to a disconnect from the natural world and increased environmental stress. That is why we Aim to Create a GREEN buddy for this GREY world. Our software will empower the most optimal yields, and top-notch growth in plants along with scalability for field crops which will be implemented through an AI-driven app equipped with: • Automatic plant detection • Disease prediction • Formulation of a custom care plan with just one scan of the plant with care reminders enabled as push notifications. • Predicts diseases, and offers solutions. • Sync with Weather API for smart geographical-based plant care warnings. Taking it up a Notch and to validate our commitment to promised features, we're crafting a cutting-edge, scalable wireless plant care DIY kit. This innovative prototype not only encapsulates our stated functionalities but also signifies a leap in plant care technology. Owners gain wireless capabilities, enabling remote nurturing even when away. The kit boasts features such as remote Wi-Fi watering, providing convenience and automation. Additionally, it incorporates UV light growth simulation from an indoor perspective, ensuring optimal conditions for plant development. To address the threat of wildlife damage, advanced motion sensors and sound deterrents could be integrated, showcasing our scaling abilities beyond indoor applications, this prototype would position itself as a potential game-changer in open-field crop care as well. The user-friendly app serves as a centralised control hub, allowing users to manage and monitor their plants effortlessly. Our approach doesn't merely fulfil promises but showcases the scalability and adaptability of our project. In summary, our project "Intelli-i-Green" is a meticulously planned and innovative solution plan designed to boost plant growth and optimise yields. The prototype model underlines our commitment to thoroughly test and refine our software, ensuring its real-life applicability. IF A PLANT CAN GROW FOR US, WHY CAN’T WE EAGER TO KNOW OUR PLANTS.’

What's next for INTELL-i-GREEN

By creating an app that can accurately identify plant species and diagnose diseases, we're enabling our users to promote sustainability by encouraging them to cultivate diverse plant species and effectively manage plant health. It will foster a culture of openness and innovation, where developers and enthusiasts can leverage existing resources to create new solutions for plant care and environmental conservation. By enabling remote monitoring and automated care, we're reducing the need for constant human intervention and minimizing resource wastage. It will help to promote efficiency and conservation of water, energy, and other resources, contributing to overall environmental sustainability. We're not only enhancing the aesthetic appeal of green spaces but also fostering ecological balance. Healthy, thriving plants play a crucial role in purifying the air, providing habitat for wildlife, and maintaining ecosystem stability, all of which are essential for long-term sustainability.

*Software requirements: Windows 7 or above. Python 3.7 or above Preferably the latest version of vs code

  • Hardware requirements: System ram 4gbs or above Prefer a solid-state drive SSD storage 256gbs or above A camera USB ports Wifi facility *frameworks and the technologies we are using: Python for coding the ml database Arduino for the establishment of connections between the module and the system Vs code for seamlessly working on python Pre-requisites before handling of the project: A basic knowledge of Python programming language and how to set up a machine learning model with the help of it. Basic to medium-level knowledge of C++ for the Arduino work, and knowledge to set these things up.
