🚀 InvestIntel – Your AI-Powered Personal Finance Co-Pilot 🧑‍💼 Personal Story A few years ago, I watched a close friend invest heavily in a mutual fund simply because it was “recommended by a popular blog.” Months later, they realized it didn’t align with their risk appetite or life goals. That moment stuck with me.

As a product leader passionate about AI, I wanted to build something that demystifies investment planning, especially for people who don’t speak the language of finance fluently. This project was my way of turning that experience into something useful, accessible, and personal.

💡 What it does InvestIntel helps users make informed investment decisions by offering:

  • Risk assessment based on user inputs (age, income, goals)
  • Structured financial recommendations like SIP calculations and asset allocations
  • Conversational AI guidance powered by LyzrAI, enabling natural chat-driven interactions
  • Personalized insights remembered across sessions (via Supabase integration)

Unlike traditional calculators, InvestIntel offers dynamic, contextual advice—turning financial planning into a conversation, not a chore.

🔧 How we built it PoC: Used Perplexity Labs to bring my capstone idea to life—an auto-generated HTML website for financial goal planning. Frontend: Built entirely on Bolt.new for fast, responsive UI prototyping in React AI Copilot: Integrated Lyzr.ai agents trained on personal finance knowledge Storage: Connected with Supabase to persist user data and enable stateful, personalized responses Deployment: Hosted on Netlify for instant feedback and iteration

LLM-Enhanced Forecasting Visualizer: Enhance the existing investment projection chart on InvestIntel by making it interactive, intelligent, and explainable using LLM-generated insights. Enable users to dynamically adjust inputs and receive conversational insights on how those changes affect long-term financial goals.

Create a conversational AI assistant integrated into the InvestIntel platform that allows users to ask personalized financial questions and receive clear, compliant, and actionable responses using GPT-4 (or GPT-3.5) with optional retrieval augmented generation (RAG). The assistant should: Simplify financial literacy for Indian users, Help with planning investments, comparing instruments, and forecasting outcomes.

Use RAG to enrich GPT with structured data (FAQs, RBI norms, SEBI definitions). ⚠️ Challenges we ran into Context management for dynamic inputs: Balancing between general advice and personalized insights required fine-tuning the prompts and response structure

State retention between chat messages: Needed to integrate Supabase cleanly with the chatbot for session-aware conversations

Data representation: Converting raw AI responses into user-friendly financial charts and breakdowns took iteration

Successfully integrated LyzrAI + Supabase + Bolt into a seamless, conversational experience

Created a solution that feels both smart and approachable to non-technical users

Bolt.new made it incredibly easy to iterate on design, test different flows, and refine quickly

Investing the time to define clear user personas (like Ravi and Ananya) helped us keep the product focused and empathetic
