Inspiration
After more than three months manufacturing face protections with our 3d printer and according to the experience collected from many users in the health environment, we have realized that the use at the same time of a face protection and a mask is quite uncomfortable. That is why we decided to draft a new solution including both protections in only one releasing the mouth and nose surface and avoiding mist in the transparent surface.
What it does
The solution is based on a hat or cap that includes a tubular transparent PVC with structural supports and the fixation is made in the user`s neck, similarly to beekeeper's protections. The entrance and exit of air is fixed in the top part of the hat, (4 in total), and each one includes a filter made of nanocomposite copper. Inside the hat a toric tube includes 12 UV LED 3,7 V, connected to a plane battery 3600 mA 3,7 v. (same to mobile phone battery). This rechargable battery can be removed using a zipper in the top of the hat. Also two 20 mm ventilators could be included for refreshing air in summer.
How we built it
It is only a previous solution.
Challenges we ran into
We need the collaboration of several companies from different sectors, (textile industry, battery sector, LED sector, Plastic moulding companies, etc...)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have working for the health sector manufacturing face protections for the Hospital of Baza.
What we learned
We got the idea for a better protection solution.
