Inspiration
While helping an insurance agent fix his Google Business Profile, I discovered that he was managing his entire business through paper diaries, WhatsApp messages, and Excel sheets. He wished there were one app that could handle everything. That conversation inspired InsureBiz Manager.
In India, millions of insurance agents still rely on outdated, fragmented systems, which often leads to missed renewals, poor record management, and inefficient follow-ups. I built InsureBiz Manager to modernize their workflow with an AI-powered platform for managing customers, policies, claims, payments, commissions, renewals, and industry updates, all in one place.
What It Does
InsureBiz Manager is a mobile-first, all-in-one workspace built for independent insurance agents. It replaces spreadsheets, paper records, and scattered tools with a unified platform where agents can manage customers, policy catalogs, renewals, premium payments, claims, commissions, and revenue tracking from a single dashboard.
Its embedded AI assistant allows agents to perform real business operations through natural conversation, such as adding customers, processing renewals, recording payments, generating revenue summaries, and handling day-to-day insurance workflows.
The platform also includes smart urgency-based renewal alerts, robust email notifications, and one-tap reminders through SMS, WhatsApp, or automated calls. In addition, InsureBiz Manager delivers categorized industry news and insights, helping agents stay informed, respond faster, build stronger customer relationships, and close more deals.
How It Was Built
InsureBiz Manager is built entirely on the MeDo platform. I created a few initial mockups using Google Stitch to visualise the application and give the MeDo AI agent a clear design direction.
The MeDo Workflow
I described the app to MeDo in plain English:
Build me a mobile-first, professional-looking insurance CRM with customer management, a policy catalogue, renewal tracking, payment logging, claims processing, and commission analytics. Use React with shadcn/ui &Tailwind CSS.
I also used a custom shadcn/ui skill, which I added to help the MeDo AI agent use the shadcn/ui component library effectively while building the application. This helped maintain a beautiful, consistent, and professional user interface across the platform.
MeDo generated the entire application scaffold, including routing, database schema, component architecture, and deployment pipeline, in minutes. Then I refined the product through multi-turn conversations, adding and improving features one by one.
Examples of prompts I have used:
@News Add a Daily Briefing page with 6 news categories and country-aware filtering using the News skill.
Implement a commission tracking system with percentage and fixed commission types per catalogue product.
Wire up Resend for email alerts on important business events.
@Login Add a real email authentication flow with password reset instead of fake placeholder emails using the login skill.
Architecture Stack
| Layer | Technology |

| Backend & Database | Supabase: PostgreSQL, Auth, and Row-Level Security |
| AI / LLM | Gemini 2.5 Flash via MeDo’s LLM skill |
| News Feed | The News API via MeDo skill integration |
| Resend API via Supabase Edge Function | |
| Deployment | One-click MeDo deploy to a public URL |
Plugin Integrations via MeDo Skills
I leveraged MeDo’s built-in skill system to integrate external APIs without manually writing integration code.
| MeDo Skill | Purpose |
|---|---|
| The News API | Real-time insurance industry news feeds |
| Large Language Model | AI assistant for natural language Q&A and business operations |
| Login | Complete authentication with username, email, and password reset |
| Web Reader / Web Search | Future support for document analysis and research workflows |
Challenges Faced
While building the application, I faced several challenges, such as features not working exactly as expected, UI elements feeling slightly off, and some workflows needing refinement.
Most of these issues were resolved using MeDo’s built-in AI code analysis and issue resolver agent. Whenever I encountered a problem, I ran the issue resolver, reviewed the suggested fixes, and continued iterating quickly.
Accomplishments
I am especially proud of how many powerful features I was able to implement with the help of the MeDo platform.
The biggest accomplishment is the custom-built AI agent, which can perform many of the same tasks a human insurance agent handles every day. It can parse and analyse insurance documents, process claims, notify customers, analyse revenue, create policies, record payments, and manage daily business operations through natural conversation.
This makes InsureBiz Manager more than just a CRM. It becomes an intelligent business assistant for insurance agents.
What's Next for InsureBiz Manager
InsureBiz Manager will expand with WhatsApp integration for customer communication, AI-powered lead scoring, and support for multi-agent agencies with team management features. I also plan to launch a React Native mobile app and a customer portal where policyholders can view policies, track claims, and download documents online.
