Inspiration

We are just a couple of friends that like to make fun of each other, so we thought it would be a great idea to have Ai make fun of us too.

What it does

Insult.me gives you the opportunity to be roasted by a computer... or receive a nice complement if that's what you'd prefer.

How we built it

We used a combination of JS and Python for the project.

Challenges we ran into

Many, many challenges... but nothing we couldn't overcome.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Throughout this project, we completed quite a few tasks that we are very proud of including the training of a machine learning model, fabulous front-end design, and working with the OpenAI API.

What we learned

Much was learned through the trials and tribulations of this project which included technical computer science skills in addition to others that helped strengthen our character and mindset. Some of these learnings included the use of datasets to train and use our own facial recognition machine, leveraging GPT's capabilities, and persevering through mind-bending problems that made us think quite a bit.

What's next for Insult.me

We had originally planned to create a Jackbox type of game with our idea, however we were a little too ambitious for the time that we had and were not able to get this done. Luckily, we're still really excited about this project and will definitely make an effort to add the missing features we weren't able to get in during the hackathon.
