Inspiration
Our inspiration came from one of our members, who requires insulin medication, and our team's concern of rising insulin prices with correct dosages.
What it does
The web app allows the user to input their insulin intake to average out daily and monthly insulin expenses.
How we built it
We built this using Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with helpful libraries such as React.js.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many bugs when we were implementing our frontend with our backend program. Additionally, we had trouble with the aesthetics portion of our frontend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to start from scratch and create a deliverable, albeit not perfect.
What we learned
This was our first time using React.js, and for some of us, it was our first time also experiencing a new main coding language.
What's next for Insulin Cost Calculator
Next up, we hope to improve the UI and accessibility of our web application, as well as provide different price calculation and dosage options to account for all patients.
