Inspiration Social media like Instagram transformed global connections. We recreated it with MERN stack during a hackathon to prove full-stack capabilities.

What it Does SnapSphere enables secure login, photo uploads with captions, infinite-scroll feeds, likes/comments, and follows. Fully responsive for mobile/desktop.

How We Built It React frontend (hooks/context, Tailwind), Node/Express backend APIs, MongoDB Atlas (Users/Posts/Comments), JWT auth. Deployed on Netlify/Render.

Challenges Fixed CORS in image uploads via proxy, async feed races with React Query, MongoDB pagination optimization.

Accomplishments Complete MERN Instagram clone in 48 hours, secure auth, real-time-like feeds, fully responsive UI.

What We Learned MERN integration, JWT middleware, MongoDB pipelines, full-stack async debugging, scalable API deployment.

What's Next Socket.io real-time, AI recommendations, Stories/Reels, Cloudinary video uploads
