Inspiration

We grew up in a family dedicated to real estate, surrounded by stories of homes, closings, and the people behind every decision. From an early age we understood that trust defines everything. Enmanuel’s father showed us what integrity, empathy, and people-centered service look like.

Yesterday we interviewed several brokers, and their stories confirmed what we have seen for years: opaque processes, little accountability, and clients left in the dark. Their insights gave our project urgency and direction. We were inspired by the work of the Center for Investigative Reporting and what they achieved with Kept Out, and Genesis took a Real Estate course in New York that deepened our understanding of the industry.

Our goal is simple yet powerful, to make trust automatic. We want to build transparency and fairness into every step so that real estate becomes what it should be, a space where people find not just a home but confidence in the system that serves them.

What it does

Instadigs prevents money laundering, fake brokers/developers, and payment fraud by verifying people, money, and properties in real time. It also lets journalists and regulators ask questions and get answers with proof (links to the original records).

How we built it

1. Identity & compliance checks: Cross-checks with FinCEN, OFAC, CIR, and public records.

2. AI 3D tours from floor plans: AI agents auto-generate interactive 3D tours from uploaded plans.

3. Payment validation engine: Real-time screening of earnest-money deposits.

4. Audit chatbot (RAG): Concise answers with proof (one click to the source).

Challenges we ran into

-Merging messy multi-source data while protecting PII.

-Accurate 3D from imperfect floor plans.

-Explaining risk/verification clearly without overwhelming the user.

-Balancing compliance requirements with fast AI iteration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

-Quick interviews with Bay Area brokers/agents and applied feedback within hours.

-Proved end-to-end real-time verification is feasible.

-Every answer shows its proof—you can click through to the source document.

-A self-sustaining model (3% of earnest money) for durability.

What we learned

1. Trust is a system, not a feature—it emerges from identity + funds + provenance.

2. Proof builds confidence—showing sources makes results believable.

3. Talking directly with brokers beats assumptions.

What's next for Instadigs

Expansion: More U.S. cities → international markets.

Instadigs Broker Network: Our own system of certified, verified brokers with reputation scoring.

Stronger verifications: Broader data sources, deeper graph-risk scoring, stricter license/ID checks.

Partnerships: Formal data exchange and early-alert loops with CIR and FinCEN.
