Inspiration

We were inspired to do this project because even small things in a hospital or health care setting in general can cause major problems. Every bit of unneeded paper work increases the stress placed on staff which can negatively impact the patients. On the other hand patients already have enough to deal with so we wanted to do our part to help make their stay in health care institutions that bit more bearable.

What it does

Progressive web app that simplifies the order of food in hospitals and care homes.

How we built it

React with MUI and Supabase V2, for back end: postgreSQL with Supabase V2, deployed on Vercel, source control using github. Written in Javascript and JSX.

Challenges we ran into

Authenticating admin and client roles and time management. Writing this devpost.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learnt Figma, Supabase V2, and the power of friendship.

What we learned

Subscriptions with Supabase, Figma, learning more about SQL editor.

What's next for InstaBite

Adding INTL for multilingual support, improving secure routes with roles.
