What it does
Experience Better Visualization, Tool Guidance and Automation with Inspira's EPM Hackathon Project.
Tooltips provides additional context for buttons or other controls, helping users understand the purpose and usage of each feature. PowerBI Dashboard provides data analysts custom visualization of data and deeper investigation. Automated Alerts through Sentinel from EPM: A logic app which will extract data from EPM (mailbox) and then ingest it into log analytics workspace that we can query and get alerts in sentinel
How we built it
Reports Built with PowerBI for a better visualization of data and analysis. With the powerful Javascript and CSS put together into Visual Studio brings out Tool Tip guidance for users. Automated alerts and querying through Microsoft Sentinel - an logic app which will extract logs email and alert logs from EPM (mailbox) and then ingest it into log analytics workspace to create a custom table that we can query and get alerts in sentinel.
Challenges
Challenges we ran into was interesting. First it was the onboarding process of GCP, where the controller was not getting enabled even after multiple attempts using CLI and running scripts. Secondly, we faced challenges with creating Tool Tips and PowerBI dashboard as we had no knowledge on the tools and mere knowledge on coding. The most challenging part was the Automation. As we did not have an API for EPM it was tricky to get stuff automated.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As the famous saying "Nothing is impossible". we dedicated our time and strength in learning and exploring these tools. The consistency and perseverance as a team lead to solving the problems and challenges we faced along the way. Our team gained knowledge on front-end development languages , requirements of a data analyst and put our hands into the challenging automation for permissions management. We were able to create powerful dashboards, automations and tool tip for permissions management.
What we learned

Washington Knowledge sharing sessions, Team discussions and brainstorming ignited many creative ideas and innovations into the scope of Automation for Entra Permissions Management. Although the lack of API was a challenge to us, we still have mind-blowing innovations awaiting for implementation with us. This opportunity helped us to showcase some of our major talents with permissions management.
What's next for Inspira Enterprise -The EPM Innovators
Our Innovation team would be moving forward with all the possible automation use cases with permissions management including workflow automation. We would like to explore the feasibility of powerful live dashboards, customized reports , customized alerts integrated with Microsoft Sentinel , a pleasant onboarding with hybrid cloud accounts
