SAVING LIVES
Drugs, Alcohol, and smoking are some of the addictions which are major social issues that need to be addressed. An estimated 95,000 people (approximately 68,000 men and 27,000 women) die from alcohol-related causes annually. Around the same estimation is for drugs and smoking addiction. When a person dies, many lives are impacted. His/Her family is left with an empty feeling.
What it does
Inspera provides a user-friendly interface so that the person struggling, or his/her well-wishers can conveniently access this webpage. It provides help for alcohol, drug, and smoking addiction. On choosing a particular problem, the user will be directed to a page where he/she can book a counseling session, or fill out the form for financial support. Many times, the addicted person cannot get admitted into the de-addiction center because of financial issues. After proper verification, team Inspera will connect such people with the NGOs associated with them. These NGOs will bear the expenses of the person so that money is not the barrier to improvement. There is a contact component through which users can connect with team Inspera for any sort of queries, suggestions,or to donate for a better cause.
How I built it
Inspera is built using ReactJS, various npm libraries, CSS, Material UI icons, React-router
Challenges I ran into
Faced difficulties while setting the EmailJS part as there was some authentication error. And since I was new to react routing, got some errors while setting that.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I patiently solved all the errors and learned a lot during the whole project formation.
What I learned
I learned about EmailJS, nodemailer, react-routing, how material-UI icons works, and various new npm libraries.
What's next for INSPERA
There is a large future scope for Inspera. It can be made multi-lingual so that it is easily accessible in various languages. Other than that, many addictions can be covered in Inspera. A chatbot can be added which will assist the user with any quick question.
