Inspiration
The demand for real-time, trustworthy consumer insights is growing rapidly, yet traditional methods are often expensive, slow, and lack transparency. Inspired by the potential of blockchain and decentralized web3 technologies, we saw an opportunity to transform how businesses access and trust consumer data. With InsightX, we empower brands to gain actionable insights while giving consumers a chance to monetize their creativity and knowledge.
What it does
InsightX is a decentralized marketplace where users can create polls or surveys ( This demo is limited to polls), gain valuable consumer insights and trade those insights in a blockchain marketplace.
1) A poll creators can type a topic and description for an ongoing issue where they need to research 2) Platform will create a most suitable poll using generative AI ( We use GPT technology) & public url to access a poll 3) Then poll creators can set a target audience & price to place it in a market place 4) Brands or Insight enthusiasts can discover and buy them via market place
Poll respondents in web3 community can participate by submitting their feedback using blockchain-powered wallet sign-ins, ensuring authenticity. Insights are then posted on the marketplace, where brands can subscribe and purchase this data. This approach creates a win-win: brands get reliable data, and consumers earn rewards for sharing their opinions.
How we built it
We use fullstack Javascript DAPP to create interactive UI and tronbox environment to deploy smart contracts. We generate unique hash from a poll and persist it in TRON blockchain and other meta data will be saved in TiDB serverless database.
Challenges we ran into
One of the challenges we came across was optimizing the performance and transaction fees in blockchain. Another is fraudulent responses. In the application logic we need to ensure responses are authentic by applying fraud detection rules such as eliminate duplicates, fake or spam responses with fake detection algorithms.. ( That is planned to implement in near future)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to rollout complete roundtrip of the dapp. InsightX will be a revolution in Market Research(MR) or consumer insights communities
What we learned
How to creatively use blockchain technology to effectively solve real painpoints in niche industries. Web3 is relatively a large community where research companies or brands can capitalize that as unfair advantage.
What's next for InsightX
We are planning to improve AI based poll creation in to comprehensive surveys using branching logics and data hygiene rules. Need to apply fraud detection algorithm to ensure responses are authentic.
