What it does

it will analysis the business helpful "Insight Agent" right there with pick options like "Regional Insights" or "Risks," and the agent tells you exactly what's going on in the data.

How we built it

Built with Next.js because it's fast and reliable and using the Tableau Embedding API v3

Challenges we ran into

adjusting the dashboard and implementing the agent responses and reload the page based on the request in dashboard.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It actually fills the screen: Getting a Tableau dashboard to use 100% of the width and height without weird scrollbars or cutting things off was honestly the hardest part. It looks really clean now. Stability: We fixed a lot of bugs where the dashboard would crash if you refreshed the page. Now it's rock solid.

What we learned

Tableau's new web component () in React. Simple is better. Users don't need a text box where they can type anything; they prefer a clear menu of questions that give them good answers immediately.

What's next for Insight Flow for Tableau

Adding voice commands so you can talk to your dashboard on your phone.
