Project Story: InsightEdge

Inspiration

InsightEdge was inspired by the need for actionable, data-driven strategies in today’s market. The Microsoft Fabric AI Hackathon motivated us to transform complex data into clear insights.

What We Learned

We gained expertise in handling large datasets with Spark, conducting advanced time series forecasting using Holt-Winters models, and visualizing trends with Matplotlib.

Build Process

Our project utilized Spark for data extraction and Pandas for analysis. We forecasted future sales and profit margins with Holt-Winters smoothing and showcased results through detailed visualizations.

Challenges

Managing large datasets efficiently and addressing data quality were key challenges. Choosing suitable forecasting models to capture trends and seasonality required careful experimentation.

Conclusion

InsightEdge sharpened our skills in data analysis and AI, reinforcing the value of data-driven decision-making for business growth.
