Inspiration

Job searching can be an overwhelming and stressful process filled with endless applications, follow-ups, and the constant fear of missing deadlines. The traditional job hunt often feels unmanageable, leaving applicants frustrated and disorganized. That’s why we created InternPing—a fun, interactive, and effective platform designed to simplify the internship search.

What it does

You get images of internships that you can click decline or ping on it and then if your skills match with the requirements of the internship.

How we built it

We used Figma to do the prototype of the website, made the logo and the personalized images on Canva, and later used CSS and html and Javascript to build the actual website.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a lot of challenges trying to do the Javascript as none of us were experts in that language. But we took one step at a time and kept debugging after every step so we didn't have a bigger problem.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This was our first time working together in a group setting so we are extremely proud of ourselves as we were able to collaborate by communicating amongst us and resolving any issues that came our way.

What we learned

Since this is our first hackathon, we learnt how to integrate new coding skills such as javascript in a short amount of time and in an effective way.

What's next for InternPing.

We plan to deploy InternPing by developing a robust backend infrastructure that powers its functionality. Our goal is to integrate AI-driven features and other useful tools to enhance the platform’s effectiveness over time. As we continue to refine it, we will ensure that InternPing remains a fully functional and up-to-date application, staying aligned with the latest job market trends and emerging technologies to provide users with the best possible internship opportunities.
