Inspiration-The idea for this hand cricket game was born out of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. With students isolated in their homes and missing out on the camaraderie and joy of playing sports with friends, I wanted to create something that could bring them together virtually.
Web development-My team deepened their understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, learning how to integrate these technologies to create an interactive and user-friendly game.
Game Logic-Crafting the logic for the hand cricket game taught me how to translate real-world rules into code, ensuring that the game functions smoothly and fairly.
Problem Solving-As challenges arose, my team honed their problem-solving skills, learning to troubleshoot issues and find efficient solutions.
How We built-
HTML: Structured the basic layout of the game, including the scoreboard, input fields, and buttons. CSS: Styled the game interface, making it visually appealing and easy to navigate. I focused on creating a design that mimics the simplicity of the traditional hand cricket game. JavaScript: Implemented the game logic, including the scoring system, random number generation for the "bowling" action, and the conditions for winning or losing the game.
