Inspiration
The Museum was the basis of our inspiration. We searched around for interactive tools that would educate us about the different vessels on this ship, but could not find any. This program is designed to mainly solve that problem, giving us a fun and interactive tool as research.
What it does
By clicking on the name of the vehicle on one of the two maps, it shows a short description of the roles of the vehicles during the Cold War
How we built it
It was built using a mixture of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
The entire project felt like a series of ups and downs. Starting from the very beginning, while being aware of our roles, we were unsure of what to do and it became a challenge for the group to cooperate. Toward the end, while struggling to come back, breakthroughs started to come out of the difficulties until finally, everything clicked into place.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are extremely proud of the fact that despite the group struggling in the beginning, with every hour passing by with us getting nowhere, we really came back to attempt to finish the project on time.
What we learned
Being a project manager is difficult. Even if there is an idea in the project managers head about the work that we need to do, brining it to life through the cooperation of your group members is more difficult than it looks on paper. The role requires leadership, something that needs to be designed.
What's next for Innovations During the Cold War
More buttons, choices and a more interactive design is what we hope for in the "Innovations During the Cold War".
