We were inspired by the challenges faced by hospitals and healthcare workers, brought to light by the epidemic. The issues in sharing patient information and research data has slowed down and made patient care difficult. Hospitals have outdated systems and self-serving tendencies that disallow valuable records from being accessed with ease.
This led us to incorporate blockchain, Web3 and cloud services combined with the Aadhaar identification network to provide a decentralized and secure way of storing hospital reports and other critical information.
The challenges we faced were figuring out how to create a network which could prevent scams, multiple registries and was already widely used- so we turned to UIDAI. Another was incorporating new tech and cutting costs- so we used an algorithm+server model instead of completely replacing current electronic systems in place.
We learnt about how blockchain and Web3 worked, what the healthcare market looks like in India and how to incorporate different products and applications to create a unique service. We also learned how to cohesively work together.
For the booming Indian healthcare industry, we hope our product can be a boon.
