Innerview
Mental health support is hard to access. There aren't enough therapists, stigma stops people from asking for help, and good care is often out of reach depending on where you live or what you can afford. Many people struggle for months — or years — without even knowing what's wrong. Innerview was built to change that first part: helping people understand what they're going through.
The app starts with two short questionnaires — the PHQ-9 for depression and the GAD-7 for anxiety — the same tools GPs use in the UK. After completing them, users get a personal report with their scores, severity ratings, and a plain-English breakdown of what the results mean. They can create an account and come back any time, with a dashboard that tracks past assessments so they can see how they're doing over time.
Innerview isn't a replacement for therapy. But it makes therapy feel less out of reach. For users ready to talk to someone, the app links to six trusted UK therapist directories — BACP, Counselling Directory, NCPS, BAATN, Find a Therapy, and Counselling Pages — so the next step is always close by. Sometimes, just having a name for what you're feeling is enough to get started.
