Inspiration
Our inspiration for InnerQuest comes from our deep desire to help individuals find their unique paths to healing and increasing productivity. We, a small team of two developers based in a college dorm, were motivated by the belief that personal growth and productivity can't be imposed from the outside but should come from within. Additionally, we wanted to address the critical issue of protecting youth from problems like drug abuse and mental health challenges by fostering self-improvement.
What it does
InnerQuest is an app that we've designed to assist individuals on their journey towards personal growth and productivity. It offers plug-and-play extensions that are personalized based on the user's personality type. The entire system is backed by a mood point system that rewards users for their productivity. Users receive personalized extensions, recommendations, and motivation packs based on their personality type. Importantly, all the achievements are backed by real NFTs on the blockchain. We're committed to making this a community-driven project, with a focus on open-source development and encouraging others to contribute and expand the platform.
How we built it
We built InnerQuest from the ground up, focusing on creating plug-and-play extensions that cater to individual personality types. We also integrated a mood point system to reward productivity and incorporated blockchain technology to create real NFTs for backing achievements. The heart of the project lies in making it open source, enabling the community to contribute and help grow the platform.
Challenges we ran into
As developers, we faced various obstacles during the development process, including technical hurdles, design issues, and project management challenges that we had to overcome. We also had a very serious time boundary apart from that being a developer we lacked the UI/UX perspective.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We've already achieved several milestones that we're very proud of. We've created extensions like empathy journaling and a Pomodoro timer, with more in development. The open-source nature of the project is a significant accomplishment for us, as it encourages community participation and collaboration.
What we learned
We've learned about app development, open-source collaboration, blockchain technology, and addressing important issues like mental health and productivity.
What's next for Inner Quest
Looking ahead, we have big plans for InnerQuest. We're going to continue developing and expanding the platform with more extensions and features, potentially taking it to the mainnet. We're eager to engage other developers and the community to contribute to the project. Our long-term vision is to make InnerQuest a widely-used platform for self-improvement and productivity enhancement, all while addressing youth-related issues like drug abuse and mental health.
